About the workshop

The goal of the workshop is to enhance your resilience against (self) stigma and positively change your perspective on living with HIV.

Between six and eight people participate in each workshop. The groups are mixed. The focus is on sharing experiences of living with HIV, providing tips and exercises to cope with negative feelings and reactions related to HIV.

During the first session, we discuss what HIV stigma is and the potential consequences for people living with HIV.

The second session focuses on dealing with negative thoughts. Through various exercises and videos, we explore positive ways of managing HIV and increasing self-confidence in your life with HIV.

The third and final workshop covers the pros and cons of being open about HIV and strengthening resilience against negative external reactions. Practical tips are also provided to help you feel more empowered in your life with HIV.

A month after the third session, we organize a follow-up day with all participants. We assess everyone’s progress and determine if there is a need for further support.

If there are fewer than six registrations per workshop series, the workshop will not take place. It will be offered again at a later time.
